Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets Review and Giveaway

We all use dryer sheets for the obvious reasons, of course. We use them to make our clothes feel softer and so they won't be stuck to each other because of static cling. But I think most of us can agree, the main thing we look for when choosing a dryer sheet is a smell that we love. Especially a smell that will last so that our clothes continue to smell good after they've been put away, not just when we take them out of the dryer.

I was given the opportunity to try Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets in Lavender Blossom. They smell SO good! They don't smell like just simple lavender, but lavender and flowers. Maybe even with a little vanilla mixed in. They just smell amazing. As soon as I opened them up I put one in my bedroom, just so I could enjoy having the fragrance in my room.

Purex Crystal Dryer Sheets claim to not only soften our clothes and reduce static cling, bit also to help repel pet hair and lint. I have a cat and I found out this is definitely true. I've been using the lint brush a lot less since I've started using these dryer sheets. So my not only are my clothes soft, and static free, they smell really good and they repel lint and pet hair. Nice!

Purex No Sort for Colors Giveaway and Review

It's hard to feel our best if our clothes if our clothes aren't looking their best. I hate it when my clothes start to look much older than they really are. You know what I'm talking about. The light pink shirt that accidentally gets thrown in with the dark colors and now it's some sort of really ugly pink, blue and lavender mixture. I think that happens to most of us at some time. Now, Purex has come up with a solution, New Purex No Sort for Colors detergent. It's designed to trap loose dyes to prevent colors from bleeding onto the other fabrics. This is especially great for college students or anyone who goes to the laundromat and  doesn't want to have to sort their laundry into separate loads and pay more money! It's also great for anyone who doesn't want to sort laundry period. You have to use common sense though. they even give a warning on the website. Wash strongly colored fabrics, especially jeans, at least five times separately before trying out the detergent.

But, does it work? I tried it out. I put all of the laundry in together, except for the hand wash items, of course. I didn't sort anything by color. Everything turned out great! I think some of my clothes actually turned out brighter than they were before, especially the lighter colors. I really like this detergent and I'm definitely going to keep using it.

Purex Crystals Fresh Mountain Breeze Review and Giveaway

Smells are such an important part of our life. They can bring back memories, relax us, affect our moods and affect us in so many ways. We all love putting on clothes that smell really good. And sheets or towels that smell like they were just washed can be so relaxing or energizing, based on the smell. You know those commercials where the people use the towel that smells really good and it puts a big smile on their face? That's how I am. I'm one of those people.

So I was really excited when I was recently given the opportunity to try Purex Crystals in Fresh Mountain Breeze. It's such a fresh scent. It's not overpowering at all and the crystals are really easy to use. I just add them at the beginning of the wash and that's it! My clothes smelled wonderful. The scent lasts for a really long time and you can use as little or as many crystals as you want. That way, you can adjust the smell to be as strong or as subtle as you want it to be.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

I really love these nails. I received the pattern "Over the Moon" in my VoxBox and it's beautiful. The nails were really easy to put on and they stayed on for six days, until I decided to take them off. I only took them off because I was ready for a change, it was time for a new color. It was really easy to take them off and they didn't damage my nails at all. The only complaint I have about the nails is they're made a little small. My hands are not very large and the thumbnail barely fit me.

NECTRESSE Was A Nice Surprise

                                          


I usually don't care for the aftertaste of low calorie sweeteners, so I didn't know what to expect with a NO calorie sweetener. I used it to sweeten my hot tea and I prepared myself for the usual fake sweetness I have to deal with when giving up sugar. But as I took a drink I realized this was different. Not as horrible as the others, tolerable even? Hmm...Could I have been wrong? Then I expected the terrible aftertaste I usually experience with artificial sweeteners. I didn't get that either. There was an aftertaste, but it wasn't as bad as with the other sweeteners I've tried. The second drink tasted better and the aftertaste was less noticeable. Each drink after that got even better until I got used to the taste and I didn't even think about the fact that I was drinking something different. I actually liked it!

I still prefer the taste of real sugar, but this is the best alternative I've tried. It really surprised me. I haven't tried it for cooking yet, so I'm not sure how well it works for that, but I might give it a try.

Colgate Optic White Review

I was really impressed by two of the products I received from the Colgate Optic White line, the other, not so much. I received the Optic White toothpaste, Optic White toothbrush and new Optic White mouthwash. I really liked the toothbrush. It has little "cups" at the end of the bristles that are supposed to help keep the toothpaste on your teeth longer so it can actually do it's job and whiten your teeth. Great idea! 

I wasn't so sure about the toothpaste at first. I was worried that it may be too strong, because my gums felt a little warm at the beginning the first time I used it. But that only lasted for a minute. And it was totally worth it because this toothpaste works amazingly well! It really whitens your teeth and it starts doing it quickly! There was a noticeable difference in three or four days!

 I was concerned about sensitivity though. My 16 year old daughter started trying out the toothpaste and she has really sensitive teeth. Her teeth started bothering her after a couple of weeks. I looked up  reviews on the Influenster website and most of the people on the site who said they had sensitive teeth said they didn't have a problem with the toothpaste. Some said it had made their teeth a little more sensitive, but they were using a toothpaste made especially for sensitive teeth every so often to counteract the effect. So if you have sensitive teeth, I suggest you try it out and see what works best for you.

I didn't care too much for the mouthwash. It's not your typical mouthwash, that's for sure. This makes sense of course, since it's made to work with the other products to whiten your teeth. Of course, this is just my opinion, you may not have a problem with it at all. You may even love it. The problem for me is the flavor, or lack of flavor. There's some mint to it, but the mouthwash has peroxide in it, and I could taste it. I'm sure I could have gotten used to it too, but I decided to just use the toothpaste and skip the mouthwash for now. The results may be faster if you use the mouthwash too, I'm not sure. The mouthwash is also supposed to protect against future stains. Right now, I'm very pleased with the results from just the toothpaste and toothbrush though. I HIGHLY recommend these products!
